Joe Brady, Buffalo's coach, announced yesterday that Allen's done for the preseason.

That'll leave the backups Kyle Allen and Shane Buechele to split the quarterbacking snaps for the home team.

And by the way, both of those guys played really well last week, albeit against the Browns.

So there'll still be some kinda challenge.

He did not look the part.

There was talk that Shane Buechele was the better quarterback through that portion of the summer.

But these last two preseason games he has shown what he can do.

Um, it's still a doomsday scenario if anything happens to Josh Allen, but Kyle Allen has a, obviously, a good command of this offense.

So everything was on schedule, everything was operating well.

He did a great job for the second straight week.

And while Shane Buechele also had a very nice performance today, uh, I think we can sit here after two preseason games and say Kyle Allen probably has that number two quarterback job locked up.

Yeah, and the thing too is, like, Sherfield, I wanna talk about, um, the, the wide receivers and what maybe that, that looks like now on the other side of, you know, whatever's going on with Keon Coleman and how long the timeline there is that they establish.

You have to contextualize a little bit, but yeah, he, he was impressive though, for sure.

I, I, I watched Kyle Allen and Shane Buechele look functional against that Panthers-

Uh, another quarterback competition, Allen, not Josh, but Kyle Allen, is he the lock for number two? This has been something we've- we've talked about, worrying about a little bit, Kyle Allen versus Shane Buechele.

Kyle Allen had a stat line that wasn't good, 14 of 16, that's good.

Uh, the average depth of target for Kyle Allen was 3.5 by the way.

Uh, 13.9 for Josh Allen, and a 7.3 for, for Shane Buechele in this game.

Um, I think he has the upper hand, for sure.

Anyways, the conversation's gonna be be- between who gets that practice squad spot between Ian Wheeler and Frank Gore Jr.

But moving to the backup quarterbacks, there was a lot of noise in all the pregame shows about Kyle Allen versus Shane Buechele, and whether or not the actual backup quarterback is on this football team if Josh Allen has to miss one or two or four games.

You know, not that they were, uh, the second coming of Joe Montana out there, but they, they looked functional, which was my big request in this game.
