B

0:22

So some of the biggest storylines of the season so far has to start with Munetaka Murakami.

B

0:27

I mean, he's came into the season signing with the Chicago White Sox out of Japan, which was really out of nowhere.

B

0:35

A lot of people thought, oh, he joined the Dodgers with all their players from Japan.

B

0:40

Go somewhere like that.

B

0:41

Maybe go to the Yankees.

B

0:42

There was talks about that happening, but he's off to a pretty decent start.

B

0:46

I mean, in 34 at-bats, he only has seven hits, but four home runs, seven RBIs.

B

0:52

That's an RBI hit.

B

0:55

892 OPS, so he's doing some stuff, scoring a lot.

B

0:58

I mean, he's...

B

0:59

He's on pace.

B

1:00

Obviously, he's not going to last, but a 65 home run season is not going to happen.

B

1:03

But he's doing some great things there.

B

1:05

His defense has looked pretty good, too, at first base, which was kind of the big question mark about him before he was signing.

B

1:11

So, Munetaka Murakami, been off to a really strong start.

B

1:15

He's going to make a push for AL Rookie of the Year.

B

1:17

And I say push because...

B

1:19

Goes into the next player that I'm going to talk about.

B

1:21

Chase DeLauder, right fielder of the Cleveland Guardians.

B

1:25

24 years old.

B

1:26

Really burst onto the scene.

B

1:28

Already has a .5 war record.

B

1:30

In 35 at-bats, he's got 10 hits, five of which are home runs.

B

1:35

He scored seven times, drove in nine runs, has a 104.8 OPS.

B

1:40

Defense is looking great, too, in the outfield.
