If you're putting in the effort but not seeing the breakthrough — this episode will show you why more hustle is the wrong answer. Shay pulls a deceptively simple business strategy from…
What is it exactly that separates the women who stall out in business at any level, right? They just hit a ceiling that they can't break through, from the women who keep breaking through from one level of business success to the next.
I have two friends in particular, both women, very different products, but started with a product that they made in their kitchen.
No business background, no business school experience, no, no previous entrepreneurial experience.
But they started selling at farmer's markets, going door to door, trying to find local stores that would carry their product.
And both of these women went on to build n- national brands doing multi seven and eight figures a year.
But what is it that enabled these women to continue to climb and continue to break through barrier after barrier, right? They would've faced the same entrepreneurial challenges all the rest of us face.
And I wanna speak in particular to the women who are in the earlier stages of their business j- journey who just aren't seeing growth.
I also know women who have been in business for f- five years, 10 years, 15 years, but they are stuck at a certain revenue level that they themselves want to break through, but they just seem unable to break through.
So if you feel like you are building through brute force, right, with little progress to show for it, then I want you to lean in 'cause this one is for you.
Uh, the world tells us that we have to grow and scale in order to prove our value.
Uh, but that certainly is not, um, w- what we see in scripture and what we know to be true about God's story being really different for each of us and w- and His best being really different for each of us.
And so I just don't buy into that, you know, the only true entrepreneurship are those entrepreneurs that continue to scale, you know, into the six figures, into the seven figures, into the eight figures.
So don't hear me saying that something's wrong with you if you haven't been able to break through to certain financial or revenue milestones, business size milestones.
But for those of you who want to continue to grow, whatever grow looks like for you, but you feel like you are just really staying stuck, then I think there's something for you today, right? I think there's something for you.
Um, the Book of Ecclesiastes is what I'm gonna pull from, and inside the Book of Ecclesiastes, there is an unlikely analogy buried in there.
And one thing I just wanna encourage you with is one of the ways that, uh, God speaks to me is through giving me a, a visual f- of something.
