CARNY TO CONGRESS EP 15 - Hillary Cassel

ac guy is on the way so we're we got a few minutes I'm just getting back to the insurance companies and attorneys.

There's always a cat and mouse thing, right? There's always things that happen.

I think I went back in time and the big thing in Miami was Miami.

was the Spanish tile on the floors.

People were buying full turkeys, Jake, okay? They go buy a turkey.

They say they're taking it out.

It falls, it cracks tile on the floor.

Oh, I got to redo my tile.

Oh, that tile doesn't match.

Then I got to redo my cabinets and it turns into problems.

And that's kind of what happened with assignment of benefits, right? You know, with the roofs, because they have the tile roofs.

If you're in Florida, metal roof.

Simple as that.

That's what I say.

No more just metal roof.

It works good.

It's great.

The tiles...

Looks pretty, but it just turns into problems.

So I know there's things that happen, and there's bad actors like we were talking about before.

But the problem I have is you have folks that are four foot of water in their house, and they have flood, and they're trying to get the insurance, and then it goes back.

Well, it's wind, or it's flood, or it's a scrape.

And there's both good arguments on both sides.

But like Representative Cassillo was saying, we went a long ways.

And there's a lot of stuff that was bad, but I think we got kind of caught up.
