I certainly remember sitting in class, making notes, trying to get all the information to jam it and cram it into my head, and flood the information back onto a test to prove that I had learned something, only to forget most of it a few days later.

But what does it look like to actually teach a student to learn and think well? It's especially important in a world where AI continues to do the thinking for so many people.

Our guest today, Charlie Dewberry, has spent much of his life wrestling with these questions, and as a scientist, a philosopher, and educator, he helps bring a perspective that we really need to hear today on how human beings actually learn, and ultimately, why seeking the truth in our learning is able to shape us, not only to learn well, but to be fully human.
