Oct 2, 2026 · 45 min · 14 segments
Training camp is here, and Mike is feeling some hope for the Nets. Mike and Alex discuss Egor Demin’s development, Brooklyn’s young players and why the team could beat its low win projection. Then…
I'm excited to see some of the new, the, the younger Nets growing up a little bit and hearing what they had to say on media day.
I found it extremely funny.
We can start here with the Nets a little bit.
Sure.
That the, the big takeaway a lot from all the reporters, and, uh, is just the size of the Nets and their younger players getting bigger.
And just, like, the headlines of Jaegar Diouman putting on muscle, Nolan Traore body transformation, and just reme- reminding everybody that when they selected these guys 19, 19 years old, a year with the NBA program, yeah, they're, they're gonna come back, uh, stronger, fitter, more muscle put on their bodies.
But, um, just being, like, the shock to this I, I think is extremely funny because did you think that you were just gonna be their 19, 20-year-old selves? They're in NBA programs with millions of dollars invested.
Like, and it was a summer off.
This is what's going to happen.
Um, and I'm glad to see it, of course.
Like, the Nets need to get stronger.
But the, just the big takeaway of, like, the, the strength from year one to year two, and in particular Jaegar Diouman, who's put on 15 pounds of muscle, and he's, uh, you know, strutting around with these giant arms and just looking more physical.
He's got a little mustache now and-
Wow.
Excuse me
... looking like a, looking like a grown man.
But, uh, just, just funny the reaction.
Like, "Whoa, I can't believe he got so much stronger.
Wow, that was awesome."
[laughs]
And it's like, damn straight.
Right, right.
These are, these are men now, right? They're 20, 21 years old.
