There has never been more content on the internet, and there has probably never been an easier time to make more of it.

So here's the question, if everybody can make content, what makes yours worth finding? Today we're talking about the difference between simply publishing information and creating authoritative source material that actually demonstrates what you know.

Last time, Dennis Meader and I talked about how discovery is expanding across traditional search, AI, and social platforms.

But showing up is only half the equation because if somebody or some technology finds your content, it still needs to be useful.

And ideally, it needs to communicate something that couldn't have been produced by anybody else in your profession.

[laughs] Just that, you know, it's my first conversation of the day, a degree of formality.
