I think this is so cute.

Have you guys ever played Mahjong?

Yeah, I've heard of it.

Yeah, it's a super fun like tile game that's created in China.

It's fun.

Yeah.

And then there was an illegal Mahjong ring next to my house.

No way.

wow these are not cheap they're not cheap you can get a little bootleg 105 below is it fun So I don't know, my wife bought one, and she and Harper learned, went over to one of my wife's co-workers, friends, like whatever.

Let's give us the gist of how Mahjong works.

And they come back and they're like, that was fun.

Harper was really into it.

100%.

And you'll be like, hey, Dwight, what's up, buddy? But

what was even more frustrating was when she came home, I go, what did you think of Mahjong? She goes, I think you're really going to like it.

I go, cool.

And everybody's into this game called Mahjong now.

I don't know if I'm saying that right.

Uh, you know, this is when the lawyer in me comes out.

It's a little club next door to where we live.

I think they have.

How do you pronounce it? Mahjong.

I am probably not saying it right, but my understanding is it's Mahjong.

I think this is so cute.

a hand of poker, right? You get the right cards.

So I think Mahjong is like that.

And again, I think people are looking at it as a way to connect.

You know, in New York City, there's a New York City backgammon club that is, people are playing and they're people in their 20s and 30s getting together to meet other 20s and 30s to play a game that their parents or grandparents played.

I mean, you know, that's how they may handle problems in life, you know, or do they say graciously, hey, that was a good game, congratulations.

Great.

You said that you do not play Mahjong, but yet you could give me a tip, I have no doubt, because we're going to learn how to play Mahjong this weekend.

No, this is Mahjong.

Oh, the game.

The game is apparently there's a surge in popularity.

I've never played before.

Oh, so fun.

See, then what did I buy my girlfriend for Christmas last year? I bought her a pair of Mahjongs.

Finally.

But we also are intentional about telling stories of communities that don't, typically get covered by legacy media, um, immigrant communities and celebrating their traditions.

So we had a great story about Mahjong and the, all the groups of people playing Libby hops.

And that story is so, it was so great.

And I, we encourage the writers to write those stories in a voice that is fresh, natural, authentic, um, that, you know, this whole notion of like, we've got to be completely, you know, robotic, you know, sterile, objective observers,

Essentially, we are paying seniors.

This is in Chinatown right now, mostly to go play Mahjong.

And when they do that, they're actually given money.

They're bribed to come to one club versus another.

And this is like, they want to do it for the first time.

So anyone there, my friend Jenny just learned how to play Mahjong.

And I think that's so cool.

Like that's something she just wanted to do it and she did it.
