Last week I was watching the Making of the Five Heartbeats and Robert Townsend was saying he wanted the movie to be based off The Temptations and he wanted to bring on Eddie Kendricks and David Ruffin as creative advisors, but the movie company told him he couldn't because Berry Gordy might think the Big Red character was him and sue, so they had to use a lesser known group, so he went with the Dells.
But it had me thinking, who are some of the lesser known hip hop and R&B groups that were dope as hell but never really got their props? So for this week ep of Apt. 5B that's what we're chopping it up about!
