At least it was West Germany at that time, nowadays just known as Germany.

The event served as a major European showcase for legendary American hip hop, disco, and R&B acts, featuring live performances from everybody from the Village People to Stetsasonic to EPMD to Queen Latifah.

In 1989, Guns N' Roses rhythm guitarist Dizzy Stradlin was arrested by police during a routine aircraft stopover in Phoenix, Arizona.

Heavily intoxicated, Stradlin had become verbally abusive towards a flight attendant, lit up a cigarette in a non-smoking section, and urinated on the plane's floor and galley area after growing frustrated with a long bathroom line.

Because of its unusual structure, "Float On" became easy to parody and reference.

It has been covered and reinterpreted by many artists, including Stetsasonic, who covered it in 1988.

Then there was Full Force, who recorded a later version.

The song’s recognizable format has also made it a favorite for comedy sketches and nostalgic tributes.

I don't know if you he's kind of like one of the unsung heroes of early hip hop.

He he engineered some huge records for like Bismarck EPMD, Stetsasonic, Redman, you know, like crazy stuff.

You know, s- I can't front, Stetsasonic was a huge template for a lot of things we've became, you know? If you ever saw a Stetsasonic s- live show, it was one of the most incredible shows you can see.

I mean, the closest that you get to classic Stet in their glory, it was some talk show where I think LL was there to really promote Walking with a Panther, and I asked this with Chuck, I'm like, "This is the era of at least, like, the first generation of video cameras.

Not one person in that circle doing those tours decided to record one Stetsasonic show?" All I will know is the folklore of the craziest group.

And for me to be this, this sort of, the back end of that, and having never, ever seen Ste- like, I can't imagine a person not seeing a Roots show once at least before they say, "Oh, they're the greatest group." Like, I would love to say that myself, but there is no record whatsoever of their performance.
