Arome OsayiHostSo if we talk about the apostolic commissions, for your information, that which we call the Great Commission was actually an apostolic commission because it was only given.
We have clapped enough in this service.
All right.
It was not given to a multitude.
It was given to 12 men.
And if we trace all the direct commissions that Jesus gave in the Bible, direct commissions, this one was the second one.
We need to put all the commissions together and then we'll understand the scope of what Jesus had in mind.
If you read Acts chapter 1 verse 8 critically, you will find that the vision Jesus was trying to sell because that was not.
Are you there? The vision Jesus was trying to sell was global.
Now, if you go to Accra, you will see some businesses that are thriving in the city.
They're doing well.
They've been there for a few years, but they are not global.
So they are not good examples of the kind of enterprise that Jesus was trying to establish for which he gave them this commission.
Jesus wanted to influence the world with his kingdom.
That means he wants to reign amongst the nations.
And the instruments with which the frontiers of his kingdom will be extended are men, men that have accepted his reign in their hearts.
Now, I think we still remember the parable of the sower.
Do you still remember? Yes.
Because Jesus said that if you don't understand the parable of the sower, which is the seed parable, you will not be able to understand subsequent parables.
So there is a key parable that is the entry point into the understanding of subsequent parables.
If you go to the parable of the sower, what was the seed in the parable of the sower? Also explained the parable of the sower.
And he told his disciples that it is.
And he told his disciples that it is he's under obligation only to explain the parables that he was doling out to his disciples.
So his only obligation to explanation was to his disciples.
