Resident Evil (2026) Spoiler Review (ft. Tim Buel) | ANTICIPATION BLVD.

Yeah, and I wanted to mention, I love talking movie news with you and stuff like that, so we're talking Resident Evil today and Zack Kreger.

Did you see, because I want to tell you, Tim, I'm glad we both got to see it, but it's been like three weeks since Resident Evil came out, so we're finally getting around to discussing it.

But the recent news is that Kreger's next movie is... called The Flood, and I love how Kreger pipes up his big passion projects before he even starts making them.

Before Weapons came out, he's like, this is my take on Magnolia.

He said that.

And with this one, he says, I want it to be like experimental, set in space, kind of like 2001, a space odyssey visual extremity type thing.

But the news was Jennifer Lawrence is the main actress in this, which I thought was...

I think that's a great fit in my opinion.

Oh, absolutely.

No, both my wife and I are like big Jennifer Lawrence, J-Law fans.

We have been for a long time.

Obviously, of course, Hunger Games.

We first saw her in Winter's Bone many years ago.

And I think she's supremely talented.

I think her performance in Aronofsky's Mother is like the best ever.

And I really thought she was great in Die My Love last year.

And yeah, I think they are a perfect pair.

I'm really stoked to see what they do with it.

But what I love about this combo is it's just such a good fit because Zach Kreger is such a marquee filmmaker now.

He's such a big star.

I enjoyed Die My Love also, but that was very experimental.

Yeah, Lynn Ramsey, very arthouse.

I just love how she's back in a big movie, and I just think it's a good fit.

100%.

And I did want to mention real quick before we get into resident evil, Curry Barker's next movie was dated.
