Something wicked this way comes…And that wicked is Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchek and this week they gave us 24 minute episodes, contracts with the devil, zoom meetings with pig men with hooks for hands…
Tony BejeranoHostBrian KaramHostSo time for- Okay ... segment one, the recap.
Three episodes again this week.
We're gonna recap all three and then discuss.
Something to note from my research, while all the directors of these three episodes are different, all three were written by Ned Martel and Charlie Carver.
So first up, episode four, it's called, Is That All There Is? So this is directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, a regular director of AHS since the Murder House days.
We pick up underneath the Apollyon at Club Hell, where the Black Dahlia asks, "Will there be dancing?" And that's when I think to myself- [laughs] ...
"There won't be any dancing, you stupid slut." Dancing.
[laughs] And- Goddamn ...
so we are [laughs] we are here for the Jezebel Ball, AKA, we got evil bitches to kill.
Meanwhile, upstairs, a drugged Ben finds Mr. Noss drinking that mysterious black substance from a chalice.
Noss floats Ben's cute ass over to him to give him a drink too, and then he pours that liquid.
You would've thought it was a Bacardi 151, the way that Ben's eyes lit up, and he screams.
Then Noss changes into his younger, hot form, JFK Jr. as a blonde, y'all, and forces- Yes ...
Ben to drink from it too.
He sounds like a very hung top, the way that he says, "It only hurts if you fight it." Anyways, Ben gets laid...
[laughs] Girl.
Ben gets laid back down into sleep, and you hear Elsa Mars, "And now we sing for our supper." Hate it.
Oh.
Okay, that was a bad Brit thing.
[laughs] Jessica Lange- Again ... turns to her freak show character, reunited with members of her cabinet of curiosities, and performs Peggy Lee's hit, "Is That All There Is?" 'Cause what screams hell more than cabaret? Uh- Yeah ...
so we have characters interacting, Constance and her kids, the Andersons, 13 female sacrifices to restore Mr. Noss's full power.
The dead bitches include Hypodermic Sally, Eva Braun, Wallis Simpson, Anne Rhyme, Brigitte Bardot, Catherine the Great, Mamie Eisenhower, Elena Cousineau, Jezebel, Tuberculosis Karen, Margaret Thatcher, and Elizabeth Short.
Then wait, we realize there's only 12.
So Venerable basically says, "Fuck it, hail Satan," throws herself into the pit as number 13.
