Is That All There Is

We're just coming at it from different perspectives, and that's why we have conversations about episodes.

So episode four, is that all there is? You've heard that before, Dan.

But that one-

That's what I'm thinking after your rating

We get Elsa Mars, who was from the Freak Show season.

But this song was rough.

The song was a cover of Is That All There Is by Peggy Lee.

Are either of you two familiar with that song?

Something to note from my research, while all the directors of these three episodes are different, all three were written by Ned Martel and Charlie Carver.

So first up, episode four, it's called, Is That All There Is? So this is directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, a regular director of AHS since the Murder House days.

We pick up underneath the Apollyon at Club Hell, where the Black Dahlia asks, "Will there be dancing?" And that's when I think to myself- [laughs] ...

"There won't be any dancing, you stupid slut." Dancing.

Okay, that was a bad Brit thing.

But anyways, rolls credits, then Elsa Mars- Do it again, Jay ... is back.

[laughs] Jessica Lange- Again ... turns to her freak show character, reunited with members of her cabinet of curiosities, and performs Peggy Lee's hit, "Is That All There Is?" 'Cause what screams hell more than cabaret? Uh- Yeah ...

so we have characters interacting, Constance and her kids, the Andersons, 13 female sacrifices to restore Mr. Noss's full power.

It's hard not to like it.

Here's Is That All There Is?

I remember when I was a little girl, our house caught on fire.

I'll never forget the look on my father's face as he gathered me up in his arms and raced to the burning building out on the pavement.

And I stood there, shivering in my pajamas and watched the whole world go up in flames.

And when it was all over, I said to myself, Is that all there is to a fire? Is that all there is? Is that all

there is? If that's all there is, my friends Then let's keep dancing Let's break out the booze and have a ball If that's all

there is And when I was 12 years old, my daddy took me to the circus, the greatest show on earth.
