Welcome back to Adventures in 2000 AD Megacast! Issue 215 is officially here! After working our way through the 2003 Judge Dredd Megazines, then the Complete Case Files 01, we're stepping into 2004…
All right, let's get into it, shall we? all right let's have a quick look chris weston there you go and then we've got this beautiful classic image of dread carrying rico after he'd shot him get the editorials we're gonna skip by that i'll just leave that there for a second if you want to pause it you can read it yourselves then we get into judge shred my beautiful career written by john wagner simon oh okay he's he's the interrogation says simon colwell colby i'm gonna i'm gonna quickly read these and then i'll come back hopefully i've edited that well this is a wonderful opening tale this is basically employees anonymous so think of alcoholics anonymous These guys all have a job.
Every one of them in this room has a job and they feel guilty and they talk about their guilt and how they have to hide it from their families.
And then this guy called Flip, who just looks menacing and mean, sneaks in, shoots up the place, basically takes everyone hostage.
And as you read on, it's a sad story.
It's really sad.
This guy gets hired by the Justice Department for them to practice their techniques on him.
And he gets beaten to a pulp by them.
absolutely wrecked and it reaches a point where he's just no use to them anymore so he gets kicked to the curb this is some great imagery here shows the cadets using special maneuvers on him he just gets absolutely beaten he ends up in hospital multiple times they repair him they bring him back out he's like a crash test dummy i think is the best way to describe it and then they kick him to the curb and he's just he's more machine than man this is a terrifying picture but ultimately he's just broken now and the justice department have left him in this confusing mega city one life and he just doesn't know what to do the judges they go in smoke they don't really have a choice they take the shot and kill him and at the end they are left discussing how the justice department should have done better by him we get this very comical line here where is it uh so the one in the middle poor slob guess we could have threatened better Then this one, you're beginning to sound like one of those whining lefties.
Such a sad opening tale.
