It's a project that's been on the radar for a little while, but appears to now start to be taking some steps to move forward, Olivia.
So I guess remind listeners what Clore Station is and why the developers are betting on that area.
Yeah, so we first reported on it back in 2018, and it's basically a 500-acre plot of land out in Oldham County.
The family knew it was time that they were going to need someone to develop on it or develop something on it.
And so now the Clore family brought on DPZ, which has been a global planning firm to help map out what's going there.
And they're sort of planning a Norton Commons or a similar to Norton Commons development project.
So that is finally hopefully will be underway by like end of this year, early next year for the first phase of it.
Yeah, I remember your story mentioned the hospital, Baptist Health, had bought some land
out
The project kind of tells us about where the growth is occurring around Louisville, right?
yeah and we've written about some um like another apartment complex last week that is also moving to oldham county and it's just the fact that oldham and bulett they're growing so fast and that's kind of where people are looking to live granted this project will probably take i think he said 20 to 30 years and it'll span over 10 phases so it will be a similar timeline to norton commons too but that's just where the growth is heading in this area
And it's self-funded too, so it's not like they just have $2.5 billion lying around.
