So do you think it's possible to have a partner with a big job and you have a big job where you travel and you're still a present parent meeting that goal of not raising jerks?
And that's something my husband and I have worked very hard to do the last five years.
We've worked to restore our marriage, our relationship with our kids, our family dynamic, which has ultimately affected his role at work, the way that he operates and runs his farm and operation and how he leads employees and his family.
It's also directly impacted my own work because I always say that I'm never going to lose myself again.
And what I truly value is showing up as a really strong, powerful woman who's making a difference in the world.
And it's most important that I do it within my home because who am I to do it out in the world if I can't do it at home?
So next step was having a conversation with my husband to say, hey, I don't feel good.
And then also bringing up to him that I also think you might feel this way too.
And then from there, we decided we needed to work with health experts to help us get our bodies and our minds back in shape because we both realized that we were out of shape.
We had some really poor habits around eating and drinking, a lack of like systems at home where we weren't home cooking.
When you look back at family's pictures, not just ours during COVID, a lot of families put on weight because we were at home.
