Yeah, I think the 82% snap share is huge.
And I don't think that's going to be sustainable because if there's one thing with Ken Walker, it's knowing that he's injury prone.
I don't think there was ever really much doubt about the fact that he was going to fit in amazing at Kansas City and he was going to be what they'd been missing for the last few years, really.
He's coming in to be what they thought Clyde Edwards-Hilaire was going to be when they drafted him.
Hunt was once upon a time.
But he's proven that he is everything and more that they wanted in terms of he is the battering ram offensive weapon.
And they've really not got much in terms of backups.
Well, I say that.
In the first two weeks, we've not seen much in terms of backups.
I think Emmett Johnson is going to, through the season, start spelling him an awful lot more.
I think it's just at the beginning, it's make hay while the sun shines.
He is fit.
He's healthy.
working I think over the course of time especially if the Chiefs find themselves in a position where they're like comfortably knowing they're going to be a playoff team they might start winding him down slightly and saving him and I think Emmett Johnson suddenly becomes a sort of second half of the season darling certainly I mean even this week against play him at Johnson in deeper leagues because the game script just looks like you know he might get the whole fourth quarter to himself and that could be 10 touches in a touchdown yeah so um the Chiefs is a good offense right now but yeah Walker's just smashing it it just needs to stay fit
it's a little, what you're saying there about Emma Johnson's a little bit like black, it's San Francisco as well, is that they've been getting to a point where they're out of sight and then he's been playing a lot towards the end and they know that he's had so many injuries that they're trying to protect him and they need him at the back end of the season.
It's the modern NFL way and I think teams are cottoning on that, you know, the bell cow back as it was isn't sustainable because the injury rate in the league is just so high you have to try and protect your star assets.
But, um if you're blowing teams out that's really easy to do you know you you you ride them to the point where you're comfortably ahead and then you let the backup take the rest and if that backup's good then you either train them for a good asset or let them walk and find another one when the contract runs out but if you're in competitive games all the time and you're scraping or you're in a bad team that can't necessarily dominate you're and you're having to wear those players into the ground then you're starting to you know create extra risks that's why i was quite cold through the draft season about a and devon a chat um because i thought that he was the dolphins only weapon and thus they're gonna just run him into the ground and by about week seven he's gonna be completely cream crackered and say at the moment obviously that's going to take a few weeks to see if that prophecy was correct but we'll see really it's the modern nfl though you need to make sure that your star players are at least covered
yeah i am the next one is again we i said this last week and it's probably the same again it's jimmy gibbs and it's like what what what can what can we say that everybody doesn't already know like he's just that good he's like he's the eight what was it what is it it's mercy
of the rushing attempts came through Gibbs.
I mean, it helps that Pacheco has been on IR.
And there was all that talk on the last week of preseason about sailors.
I'm not talking about people who do boats.
I'm talking about the player.
But I think that they've really not had backup running backs in Detroit show um and it's going to be and again pretty much to my previous point this is where we're going to find out is Jameer Gibbs just that durable and sustainable can he do the whole season with very little support being the guy yeah the advantage that the Lions have compared to other teams is that they also and Jamison Williams and Jared Goff, they have a legitimate passing game that you can't ignore.
And if Gibbs is sort of either flagging or just having a bit of an off day, you have those weapons in Sam Laporta that you can just call upon.
Yeah, I think the 82% snap share is huge.
