I mean, you're always thinking that way as a pilot.

You're always thinking, where am I gonna put this thing down? Obviously with a multi-engine aircraft, we have four engines.

And so if you lose one, you can limp somewhere.

But with a gunship, It's called a service ceiling.

So, you know, if you lose one engine, we still have three others.

But you have a service ceiling because we're so heavy, we can only fly so high.

So without the buoy, it's called drift down.

So, like, if you're at, like, 15,000 feet and you lose an engine in a certain way, you may not be able to hold that altitude.

You're going to have to go down to this certain, you know, go down to, like, 10,000 feet or 9,000 feet.

If you lose two engines in the U-model gunship, the two-inch service ceiling is subterranean.

yeah.

Like you ain't you ain't going like it's one to a full stop.

You may be able to delay it.

But you're probably going in some way.

And we can dump fuel and you're always saying this.

So you're always thinking, where am I going to go? What am I going to dump to? And then also like in Afghanistan, a lot of those valleys you get into, you can't get out of them on a three-engine service ceiling.

It's a different routing.

You're going to have to fly through the valleys, which is going to require more fuel.

And so you're always thinking like as a pilot, you're always saying, what am I going to do if I lose an engine right now? Where that's on the takeoff roll, on short final.

It's always going through your mind of that.

And so you kind of just plan for it.
