59: One Minion Runs

I feel like I had no idea that this film was coming.

I...

Not to be intellectually superior, but I started getting served loads of content about the, the book, the original, The Odyssey.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, Homer's.

And I was like, "Why is the internet talking about The Odyssey all of a sudden?" Like, is everyone just...

Like, is it now a trend to read The Odyssey or something? And then I saw all the press about the film, and I thought-

Were you just trying to-

... oh-

... broadly-

... people are pretending to get into literature [laughs]

I like that you're just broadly gatekeeping

...

so that they can watch the film.

I love that your concept of, like, people picking up one of the, like, oldest, most retold stories of all time is essentially just them, like, LARPing as proper classics, like, students and historians, as opposed to just-

Well, it, all it is-

No, they're just consuming something that, like, loads of people already have.

Like, it's too late at this point.

You can't ban-

But not in, like-

... working The Odyssey

... one big mass wave.

You can if it's all you start seeing about.

It's not like anyone's...

Like, it's the same thing that happened with Wuthering Heights.
