But Errol Lewis from Soap Opera Network did drop a little tidbit, a little teaser of what to expect.
So for the week of September 7th, through the 11th, he dropped this stat and he asked the question, when, if ever, has there been less than a 100,000 viewer margin between General Hospital and Beyond the Gates? So I volunteered the answer and Errol and I came to the same answer at the same time.
It was the week of June 15th during the BTG YNR crossover, Tornado 2026 action crossover event.
What we do know is that BTG won the demos and the margin between GH and BTG is just insane.
The closest it has ever been between these shows, which tells me that the ratings race is tight.
And I think somebody is panicking a bit based on all of these hires as of late from one general hospital.
I am glad that it's like that.
Like, you know, first of all, I have said it before, but I like when Errol does like his little teasers on, you know, on the socials to kind of give us a little tidbit of what's to come for the ratings because it
say like what what are we gonna be getting like what are the ratings gonna look like for these two shows but um the fact that it's the other it seems like it's gonna be yet again another tight race like that you know that brings me joy because that's what we want like we want that healthy competition between the two soaps but i also have like a little bit of pettiness in me And the petty person in me wants it to be a thing where Beyond the Gates is just, like, sweeping the table when it comes to the ratings war, like, leading up to the Daytime Emmys.
Like, I hope that Beyond the Gates is doing, like, you know, really, really well in the ratings race.
Right.
Like basically, literally until the week of like all the way to the week of the daytime Emmys next month.
And, you know, just so that when they are in the room with the general hospital, you know, with people from general hospital, it becomes like this is your competition.
And like you see them standing in front of your face like this is who's you know, this is who you have to beat like that kind of thing.
But I will say, too, that like that I'm like, oh, like Frank and his diversity casting.
It's like you know, we we hear people say all the time that they don't think that anything that General Hospital does is influenced by anything that Beyond the Gates does.
