But I do want to briefly discuss what's been going on on the soaps, and it's been a lot of reprimanding of certain shows, and this week on the docket is Days of Our Lives, a show that I used to love as a kid growing up.
It was appointment television for me, and they revolutionized soaps in so many ways.
They dropped a promo on Friday which looked absolutely amateurish on every level, and when you look at Days, you just see how cheap the show looks.
So when you have all of that on screen hitting you at once, it makes for a very nauseating experience as a viewer.
And I just hope that whoever is in charge of Days in terms of writing, Ryan Kwanten is gonna be back in place for this show starting sometime next year.
I hope they find their identity again, 'cause it feels very lost right now, and it seems like all the soaps right now are not hitting their stride.
Now, me personally, I don't even remember the last time I watched an episode of Days of Our Lives.
I know that I used to look at, like, a long, long, long, long time ago when I was younger because my, uh, 'cause my nephew actually really liked the soap opera, so, uh, it was appointment TV for him, which made it appointment TV for me.
Um, but other than that, I, I have not, I have not watched it, so I don't h- I really don't have anything to add f- for, you know, the promo and, like, you know, the way it looks because I'm not following the show like that.
But yeah, like, as you said, like, a lot of the soap operas are, you know, being reprimanded kind of- ... you know, quite a bit now.
And the fact that, and the fact that that is, that seems to be the trend for a lot of these soap operas lately, like, you know, it kinda, it, it kinda speaks volumes when you see things like, you know, with "Young and the Restless" having a changeover with the writing with, you know, with the addition of Jamie and, uh, and Dan w- you know, later, later on this year.
So it's like there's a, there's a shift happening somewhere.
And then with, you know, with "GH" we constantly talk about what's going on b- you know, behind the scenes at Prospect Studios because there's obviously something happening over there right now because the, you know, "GH" itself has been all over the place.
And, and even, even the most diehard of fans that would stand 10 toes even if they, if even if "GH" was giving you the worst writing, you know, are, are actually finally speaking up and saying something.
