How Your Network Shapes Your Future (WCP 523)

Today on The Working Cows Podcast, we're talking to the guys from The Ranch Rolodex Podcast, which will be out here in the middle of this week, and we're talking to them about the keys to success.

The biggest thing holding you back is probably not what you think it is.

You know? We even did a Facebook post where we asked everybody, you know, "If we can wave a magic wand and fix something on your ranch or in your business or in your life, what would it be?" And you see a lot of stuff like access to land, access to capital, mentorship, finances, you know, time, all of that sort of stuff.

But, uh, I think we realize that all those things are a symptom of not having a network of people that can help you through those things.

And the importance of having the right team around you for going as far as you can.

The possibilities are endless once you change your mindset.

You cannot put a, a value on the relationships you build because of it.

We learned so much, I, like, I've gotta go back because there's no way I even remember half the principles.

What came out of going to the school and the relationships and the people that we've met, I've been able to turn cattle out all over the country, and I would've never have, never have done that otherwise.

And also about how the things that you think are barriers for you probably aren't.

I don't have enough money to go buy a ranch.

I thought you always had to have all this stuff, you know, and access to all this capital in order to do it.

I thought you had to own the land, I thought you had to own the cattle, I thought you had to own all the infrastructure and all the, all the overheads, and that's just not true.

I make enough to make a decent living for, for my family just off of, off of the ranch portion of it, and I don't own but a quarter of the cattle.
