But these last few weeks we've been talking about how do we stay on the life track? What are the life tracks? What are the practices that we need to put into place in our life that enables us to stay on the life track of Jesus? And so we talked about the principle or the practice of fellowship, why church is important.

We talked about the renewing of the mind and how that relates to us developing a relationship with God through prayer and reading His Word.

Last week we talked about service, how service is integral to our Christian life, and it enables us to stay on the life track of Jesus.

This morning I want to talk about the practice of sacrifice because when you look at the last section of Romans twelve, and as we've been going through Romans twelve, when you look at this last section, it's all about sacrifice.

And you might ask yourself the question, well, what is, uh, Paul talking about here? W-w-what is it that he wants us to sacrifice? And so I want to phrase the question this way: When we look at this passage, when we think in terms of sacrifice, the question we ask is, what do I have to give up? Do I have to give up? What is Paul suggesting that we give up here in Romans twelve verses nine to twenty-one? What is it that we have to give up? What is the practice of sacrifice? How does it look in our life if we're to stay on the life track with Jesus? And the answer is in s- in two words.
