Michaela Gaffen StoneHostAnd something that I picked up early in what you were saying was the 10-minute walk after meals.
It's a weird kind of, what day are we on? Wednesday? Anyway, a statistic popped into my head that 80% of Americans have insulin resistance and most of them don't know.
And that's really interesting to me because insulin resistance, I believe one of the main symptoms you get for that is correct me if I'm wrong, is fatigue.
Are you perpetually exhausted because of stress, working three jobs or insulin resistance? Or is the answer yes? All of those.

So yeah, there's all of these symptoms that are associated with dysregulated blood sugar.

even with like autoimmune disease you know a lot of the same symptoms you know people experience fatigue brain fog and that's i think one of the reasons autoimmune disease goes undiagnosed for so long is that they'll just go to their doctor and they'll say hey i have these symptoms i just i'm tired have brain fog and a lot of times doctor will just kind of be like you know it's just life you're busy you're a mom you have you know three kids three young kids or like you know you're a college student who's you know in college and probably studying and working hard so I think it is often hard to pinpoint unless you're doing blood work.

So I always tell my patients, always advocate for yourself at your doctor's office and ask for blood work.

One of the things I give my patients is just a full, complete list of all the biomarkers that they should get tested when they go to their doctor every year.

So I'm always giving them just like the information so they can go get tested and see if something is off because it's really just, it's, it's hard.

Of course I'm, tired you know of course i have a little brain fog i haven't been sleeping well but it's always important just to get the blood work done and understand is are there any you know are there any nutrient deficiencies or are any of my numbers off like is there something wrong with my blood sugar or my liver health or my inflammation and these are really good markers um to understand and know that if something is off you can go get the appropriate help that you need earlier than later
