To kick off, I'd like to get both of your general reflections on the group stage.
We've seen records broken over the weekend twice for attendance at Women's T20 World Cup group stage matches, uh, 21,000 in at the Oval, before 27,000 at Lord's yesterday.
There's been some really, really good cricket throughout the group stage, and I think you'd find it hard not to argue that this hasn't been one of the most compelling Women's T20 World Cup since the tournament began in 2009.
Um, I think having the extra teams obviously, uh, gives it a little bit more depth, the group stages.
The, you know, there are probably some occasions where, um, they didn't quite meet the standards in key moments, and that's where they lost the game, but that doesn't show you that they, they've pushed some of the bigger nations, which is really exciting to see.
Um, they've got a number of players that are world beaters, uh, and hence why those players are getting picked up in franchise cricket as well.
So we're seeing the evolution of franchise cricket actually strengthen country cricket, um, which is really good.
So, um, and the fact that there hasn't been an outlier of, yes, Australia's just gonna win the, the tournament.
So I think that's added, um, a bit of excitement and, and drama to, to this, uh, T20 tournament.
Yeah, I think it's been really interesting that you could make a point that Australia have been the best team in this tournament, and yet we're still thinking it's been a really good competition, which hasn't necessarily been the case for the last few editions.
Um, Firdose, you've been covering women's cricket as a journalist for longer than I have.
