Ian Bishop

The naming follows the recent launch of the CPL Hall of Fame, which will honor two inductees annually, one player and one off-field contributor.

Dwayne Bravo and Ian Bishop were confirmed as the inaugural class, and the CPL has now secured the Sobers family's blessing to attach Sir Garry's name to the award, marking one of the most significant moments in the league's history.

As one of the finest cricketers the game has ever seen, and a defining figure of West Indies cricket, Sir Garry's name lends the award a weight and a history befitting the Hall of Fame it represents.

The Sir Garry Sobers Award will be presented for the first time at the CPL Hall of Fame Gala Dinner on Tuesday the 15th of September at the Hilton in Barbados.

Now what do we do for the next 10 minutes?

Well, they're the injury-prone guys, like Shane Bond, Ian Bishop, but then there's some guys who just were born in the wrong era.

Well actually Wakka might be the wrong uh, E-Ian Bishop or um Brett Schultz, right? And your body can't handle it and so your body just can't handle it and it just doesn't do it, right? And, and so we don't know.

Um, but it's fascinating isn't it that like one of the guys I missed is a 28 year old, right? Again these are, these are guys who should already be pushing forward selection and it's hard for those guys to push for selection.
