So this one, I actually posted this on Twitter like a couple of weeks ago now, it feels like.
It's been some time since PGL Astana ended, but I think it's especially relevant now going into the major.
And this isn't about a tier one, sorry, a stage one team.
This is about a stage two team.
This is about Spirit, right? and to Nier there was a lot of conversation about how he was sort of stepping up like towards the end of Rio and then especially going into Astana it seems like he overcame the sort of problems that he was having earlier in Spirit he sort of really activated as this closer right and and this graph is it's just dual swing on the y-axis and kills on blind enemies per round on the x-axis and the major difference you can see is that you know they're flashing for him a bit more specifically and he's killing more people there are a number of other reasons for this as well like especially if you look at when he gets active in the rounds like he's become much more of a sort of star closer player like previously obviously they have shiro that's this good like clutch late round orpah but they never really had anyone else that was like a safe pair of hands whenever you're in like a clutch or a late round and tania now is developing into quite the mold for that player He seems like he can be the guy that is willing to do a bit of semi-lurking, like he wasn't heroic, able to win the odd clutch, able to just do these crazy pushes on his anchor spots on the CT side.
And yeah, he's definitely developed as a player a lot under this swap to a soft fix.
I always want to say softick for some reason.
Yeah, somebody told me that the other day.
For some reason, I've always read it as softick, but apparently it's quite a common thing for people to read it as softick.
Yeah.
You have to be careful how you say that, though.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, but, like, depending on what kind of biases you have, either you read into this as, like, Halle was just doing nothing for ages and, you know...
Halle
hates him.
He gives Sotvik, like, a week to cook with his team and suddenly he's figured it out.
Like, that's one way if you're a hater.
The other, like, way of seeing it is, you know, Halle was, like, at that jam jar.
He'd, like, turned it almost all the way.
He passed it over to Sotvik and it...
You know, oh, that was easy.
You know, barely had to do anything.
I'd
be interested to see what Shiro's graph looks like with Sotvic and Halle.
Because my feeling watching them is that Shiro has much less impact without Halle.
