And they were like, guys, you don't have the square footage.

They also looked at, um, they had some control kegs that were not protected with Nagardo and then they had control kegs that were protected with Nagardo and, And even in a controlled environment, they were pulling samples every day over a period of time in the control kegs with no negardo, even under positive pressure with brand new draft lines, brand new couplers, brand new cooperage.

After a period of weeks, there was contamination in those kegs, even with all brand new equipment under positive pressure.

It's like a lot of chemical industries there.

You have Covestro, you have all the larger names there, Lanxess, etc.

At any rate, as Shanda reports, Flexis said it has narrowed its search for a 6-PPD replacement down to two potential candidates.

Meanwhile, the German company Lanxess said it is developing its own alternative to 6-PPD using a type of CCPD compound.

But as Shanda writes, developing potential alternatives is far from the final step.

Any replacement substance has to be approved by regulators, and then companies would have to scale up the process for making tires that incorporate this new chemical or chemicals.

And when you look into chemistry, here's BASF, you have Evonik, you have Lanxess, you have Ascent, and so many more companies that There's so deep knowledge in this, so specialty chemistry and co.

So basically in a clear sense, the European industries are some kind of unique.

We are owning the domains where you need to apply AI on and so on.

So I've seen a bunch of stuff over the years.

When we started off in Standard, we were super lucky that we formed that relationship with Lanxess very early on.

And we got access to real brine right from the very start, which was pretty unique

that we had that access.
