You get a bonus hour of local culture and creativity in this episode which is full of food, fall fun, Dr. Faustus and a fever for the Brewers in the playoffs.

On this supersized show, embracing October, you are invited inside the historic Pabst Mansion to learn about its popular Illuminating the Dark tours where you get to roam around the mansion by candlelight and explore the stories hidden within this architectural treasure.

An incredible $750,000 grant has been awarded to the Pabst Mansion to help preserve this landmark for generations to come.

We're gonna find out about the candlelight tours and, uh, the hopefully long-lastingness of the Pabst Mansion with the Pabst Mansion board chair, May McCully.

She's gonna join me in the WTMJ studio with the good news and the haunting way to enjoy history.

Uh, they're gonna [laughs] have a special matinee stop tomorrow at Schank Hall, and then driving to Madison to play at the Majestic Theatre.

So kind of a double-header, so I thought I'd play one of their tunes for the song you need to hear.

First of all, one of Wisconsin's favorite culinary destinations, the Milwaukee Public Market, they are preparing for their 21st anniversary and their upcoming Harvest Festival.

So Milwaukee Public Market's Paige Hammond is gonna join me with a behind-the-scenes look, and, uh, your invitation to enjoy all the flavors there.

We're gonna learn all about, uh, the different dynamics of borscht and, uh, how this unique annual competition at Turner Hall brings people together over this cultural dish, and how you can sample borscht and even vote for the winners.

The artists behind Wisconsin Classic Stage, they invite us to join them for the Milwaukee premiere of Gertrude Stein's Dr. Faustus: Lights the Lights.

It's an innovative theatrical experience that, uh, is gonna be very unique and, uh, it's called an operetta.

But I would say even if you've never been to an opera or an experimental theater production, I'm convinced you're gonna be intrigued to learn about this fascinating performance they have planned.

Uh, it's a 1938 artwork that still speaks to audiences today and has lots of lights.

[laughs] But first, speaking of lights, what the whole state is buzzing about, your Milwaukee Brewers.

And I say lights because you're gonna see a lot of buildings around town lit up in blue and gold, but we are counting down to the playoffs kicking off tomorrow night at 7:30.
