Milwaukee Public Market

It is an hour devoted to fantastic flavors to tempt your taste buds.

First of all, one of Wisconsin's favorite culinary destinations, the Milwaukee Public Market, they are preparing for their 21st anniversary and their upcoming Harvest Festival.

So Milwaukee Public Market's Paige Hammond is gonna join me with a behind-the-scenes look, and, uh, your invitation to enjoy all the flavors there.

And we're gonna spotlight an event that blends food and culture and compassion.

It's the annual Borscht Off for Ukraine, the hearty beet soup or stew.

Well, post-season here we come.

These are the buildings that are getting lit between blue and yellow from, uh, dusk to dawn tomorrow.

Uh, you c- well, actually there are also banners up at City Hall and Milwaukee Public Market, and you can see them on the skywalks from Chase Tower to the Avenue and the skywalk that goes over to the Riverside Theater that say, "Win our way." But blue and gold lit up 600 East, the Associated Bank Rivercenter that I was talking about that's usually all green, City Hall, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, Lakefront Brewery's going blue and gold.

We are gonna get a check-in with the Milwaukee Public Market.

They have plans for their big harvest fair, which is also their 21st anniversary.

I love how much the Milwaukee Public Market right on the Riverwalk has become part of our city.

But I tell you, you take a spin through there, you are inspired by so many of our local businesses, and the foods, and the flavors.

Oh, just walking through there is a joy.

And the flowers, the coffee.

I j- I just think about it, my mouth waters and I get excited.

You recently had a meeting with the mayor of Milwaukee, Cavalier Johnson, who's been a guest on this show.

And I just did an interview with him at the Milwaukee Public Market.

How'd that conversation go? And what are you looking for in terms of maybe additional support for the city or sharing mutual goals?

You know, first, I thanked him because there's so much he does to be able to assist us.
