Numberless Phones

was a perfect description and just to remind people we don't know what we're going to bring to each other before we go into each of these records and ray just absolutely nailed that beautiful description thank you so imagine that but take the wheel off take the numbers off no keypad just blank then how correct just a weird featureless wedge of plastic right is this art No, it kind of looks like it though.

That's fair.

Like I would have one in the background on a shelf because it would look cool.

Definitely.

But no, this was very real.

And for this, Ray, we're going to the Soviet Union.

Oh, of course.

Yeah.

Okay.

Fantastic.

Excellent.

Excellent.

Excellent.

Thank you, Tegan, for taking me to a part of the world that I don't often see tech from where they're doing real weird stuff for seemingly no good reason.

I need a good reason for this.

There's reasons.

There's definitely reasons.

And these were definitely real and they weren't props.

These were real phones, but there was no way for you to dial anyone in theory.

But we'll get to

that.
