Dave, I just wanna start with how about the crowd For the beginning of that match.
The, the sound they made when the bell rang and they are all in unison ch- chanting Oiwa's name.
Mm.
I was like, "Yeah." I was like, "This is, this...
We're s- we're witnessing something pretty special here."
Y- yeah.
I- I mean, it's a hell of a run.
[laughs]
Mm.
It's contained, it's, it's contained within half the year.
Yeah.
It's interesting 'cause like, uh, watching or witnessing kinda where it's come to now, and you kinda l- like trying to look at it and just like, "Well, what is this?" And it, it...
And my go-to often is like strike while the iron's hot, you know.
Like, if you, if something fucking grabs hold of people, go with it.
Be flexible in what you're doing and go with it.
And, uh, I mean, that can, that can be hotshot booking a little bit, but I think that it can be hotshot booking if the talent isn't up to the hype.
Mm.
And you kinda like, you n- you run the risk of then it's falling flat because, you know, your, your booking may be getting in the way and the talent just isn't responding the way you would hope they would.
Mm.
But fuck me, like watching, watching the response to Oiwa, I'm, I'm like more and more convinced every time I see him that he's like the, the best wrestler in the world.
Which, which is, is kinda nuts to say, right?
Well, he...
I mean, he's doing it with a headlock.
[laughs]
Yeah.
