And Texas is different than some other states in that the judiciary runs in the Republican, Democratic, Independent.

You have to choose a side.

Because you're not really choosing sides when it comes

to the law, are you? You're not.

And Texas, as you said, we are one of very few states where you actually get a vote as just a general citizen of the county or the state to vote that person into office.

Most states have some type of appointment system.

It varies across the other states.

But you do have to pick a party.

And I've gotten that question over the doors that I've knocked on.

I knocked on over almost 5,800 doors in the primary.

So I've talked to a lot of people throughout the county.

And the one question I got was, why? Why a Democrat? And I looked at him and said, my daughter should not have less rights than I did at her age.

And what do you mean by that?

So, obviously, it is very well known that abortion rights have been gutted here in Texas.

That is one of the big rights that my daughter should be able to do as she pleases with her body.

As a male, I have a son.
