Hello, hello, hello .... Dani and Jenny are back with a new episode, discussing one of Joyce Carol Oates' YA Novels, Big Mouth and Ugly Girl (2002). It's a book that Jenny picked out for a book report in High School approx. 50 years ago, prompting a long discussion between the ladies on what these two had to read in school and why (or did they even read them or just enjoy the cliff notes?). Jenny goes on a long nostalgia journey, reminiscing about her scary English teacher (growing up in Germany), and Dani draw comparisons between this older YA novel and Robert Pattinson's latest movie The Drama. Yes, she makes it possible to connect the two - in an actual coherent way.
Elsewhere, Jenny and Dani try to figure out why they might not enjoy YA novels generally or what it is about them that might not click with these two geriatric podcast hosts. Fun as always is abound.
