You Are Not Your Beliefs with Rachel Babaganov **In this episode…** In this episode of the We Are Women Podcast, I speak with Rachel Babaganov, Canadian health and wellness coach, former nurse, and…
So I started off after doing my master's as a Wim Hof method instructor, which you've never heard of.
I like lying on the beach, and yeah, the cold is interesting what it does with people.
When you say, "Let's take an ice bath," people are like, "Ooh, that doesn't sound so nice."
Um, but yeah, I started with that because the first ice bath I took with Michael, it so quickly brought me into a state that I longed for, a very calm, a very grounded state.
It sounds counterintuitive because going into an ice bath, you'd think your body would freak out, which it does for a moment, but then it really regulates.
So yeah, I, I s- I am a Wim Hof method instructor, so I use these external tools of ice bathing, of breathwork, and I've also now incorporated many other techniques as a coach, as a, as a women's coach.
So I also use, yeah, somatic-based therapy, working with the body, um, and many, many different techniques to really get to the old belief systems because I realized the Wim Hof method, going into the cold, breathing, it really slows us down, and it also makes us much more resilient.
Like, do I really want to do this? But it grows your capacity, and what lies under that is the fact that you can deal with your inner world.
You can deal with the challenges that come up in life because you learn how to deal with stress because ice bath is a huge stressor on the body.
And so it really brought me more into this inner world and working with our inner beliefs and our inner patterns.
And they're the things that either work for us or work against us, aren't they? I, I have to go back to the ice bath.
