Kal ClarkGuestMartha Sylla UnderwoodGuestI'm Tammy Haddad here at South by Southwest with the CEO and Chief Product Officer too, right? At NLX, spoke earlier today, what did you talk about?

I talked about how you can scale corporate partnerships, like how can tiny companies end up partnering with giants?
That's the big question, right? Not just here at South by Southwest, but overall.
But let's step back and let's talk about NLX, make sure our audience know what you guys do in AI.

Well, it's probably worth mentioning that I was born and raised in Romania, and I've been building technology ever since I was in fifth grade.

Well, there's a lot of learning by doing, but someone was paying me to learn.

And in the process, I just gained a lot of breadth and then depth in specific areas.

And then fast forward to 2015 and 2016, where I started working for American Express.

I built their, what you'd refer to as the conversational AI platform, their AI assistant that powered the main servicing channel.

The system I built was the first line of defense between the customer and the brand.
Wasn't American Express really one of the first to have that kind of conversation in a serious way, as opposed to, we're going to pretend like we're talking to you because we don't really want to talk to you at

And as a result, they're very resilient to being experimented on, right? So if the company released new projects, new things, car members quickly jumped on and they subscribed or they joined test groups, et cetera.
