In this episode, Moggzy and Lucy dive straight into their packed weekend recaps, starting with a chaotic, 80-strong impromptu line dance gathering outside the James Johnston gig in Manchester-complete…
I think we'll start this week with our Friday night that was, uh, James Johnson in Manchester.
Uh, we started off with a little bit of a line dancing gathering before the gig because he'd been doing, um...
He'd just been turning out to everyone else in Glasgow, in Birmingham who, uh, danced to his song, and then he just turned up and started recording.
So, uh, the girls from Honky Tonk Highway decided that they'd put the old bat signal out and see who they could get to turn up.
Not that they expected as many people as they did.
Yeah.
It's kinda like a flash mob, wasn't it?
Yeah.
Um, but yeah, I think...
It was a, it was a last-minute decision.
It was only, like, midday on the Friday.
Yeah, it was a few hours before.
Um, 'cause I'd said to you, "Oh, I'm gonna try my best to finish, like, a bit early.
It's not looking likely, but I'll do what I can." And you were like, "You're just gonna have to meet me there because Kate and Maz are doing a line dancing thing."
Yeah.
Um, but yeah, no, it was really last-minute, but I think we ended up with about 80 or 80-odd people there.
Well, it was quite a few.
Yeah.
Um, yeah, it was quite a few, and then, like, people were dipping in and out.
There was a lot of people just coming, like, watching 'cause obviously it's something-
[laughs] People were like, "What's going on over there?"
Yeah.
[laughs]
And, like, a lot of people probably haven't seen a lot of modern-day dancing, I would say.
Mm.
