Matt is out this week as Dominic and Kevin pillow talk. Slip Under The Covers as the guys talk about JT Poston winning the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield in Dublin, OH. Nelly Korda is turning into…
But today we are here to talk about J.T. Poston.
He got his...
What course? I know.
I was reading four things at once.
Fuck.
I read it letter by letter.
Either way, he gets his fourth career win.
Had a four-stroke lead going into Sunday and really wanted to make it interesting.
He was three over on the day until like hole 14, and then there was five people that were tied for the lead.
Wyndham, Sam Burns, Tommy Fleetwood, Gerrard, obviously, and then Poston all were at, I think it was 10 or 11 under.
And then they kind of all went.
one and one all the way up until the 18th hole.
There was some, some pretty clutch shots, I would say.
So, uh, Gerard, he was lights out all day.
He seemed like he couldn't miss.
Uh, I think he was actually ranked number one for putting in the tournament.
And then Poston was actually number three.
So on 18, they both hit one on the green, had a putt, Gerard blew it past.
And then, uh, Um, Poston made it for birdie and then Gerard didn't have an easy putt coming back.
So that I would say that was a clutch putt as well, even though he misses birdie, but insane to cause a playoff.
And then the playoff lasted two holes.
Um, and then, you know, leading the, the tournament and putting absolutely bonkers and then misses a little six foot wipey par putt to lose it to JT, um, Just a tough scene.
But if they weren't showing the names on the screen, I would not know who was playing.
They were dressed the exact same.
