Send us Fan Mail This episode we share our "go to" items we pack with us on vacation to have great hair while away from home. Along with our…
let's see today we are talking about protecting our hair through the summer months um because we kind of beat it up in the summer i feel like um whether it's the sun or whether it's the humidity or the chlorine or salt water whichever sweat it's just kind of all of it i think we just are brutal on our hair through the summertime so we're gonna dive into
that i think um I think topic number one is during the summer months, most clients say, I'm washing my hair more frequently.
Yes.
Yes, because they're in the pool or they just get sweaty and you get so hot, at least in the south.
north too because in some places up north, you don't necessarily have air conditioning.
Right.
And that seems like the way to beat the heat is to just take a shower and actually... wet your hair so with that I just really suggest using as much rich conditioners as you possibly can or
if you just wet your hair down you can just
down too and put conditioner in it or use a co-wash or just try to just rinse believe in the power of rinsing because just a good rinse will do the job then shampoo it the next day or the following day but try not to shampoo your hair twice a day
But I think this is a good time when you can integrate your leave-in conditioners a little bit more, your spray-in leave-in conditioners, whether that's after the pool or just any time you only wet your hair instead of washing it.
I think you can just use your leave-in conditioner and then as well and style as normal.
I mean, deep conditioners.
100%.
I think adding a weekly mask to your hair cycling routine would be perfect.
Maybe set a day that you can either leave it in for a little while, maybe Sunday, Saturday or Sunday, put, you know, shampoo your hair.
Get as much moisture out as you can and then add the mask.
