Tucson in Review (9-20-2026)

All right, well, we've got a huge fun event coming up at the La Rosa this Saturday.

It is a charity concert for the Foothills Club of Tucson.

It is called Rockin' for a Reason.

And the group that is going to be playing, you know them well here in Southern Arizona, Roger Klein and the Peacemakers.

And the man that fronts the band joins us now in studio, Roger Klein himself.

Roger, how are you doing?

I'm real well.

A little bit weary right now.

I just got off the ranch.

I didn't realize we would have a camera on or I was shaved.

But we did a lot of cool work.

But Arizona's been getting, the ranch's been getting a lot of rain.

So it's the kind of repair, restore, reroute stuff that's fun.

So now

you have your own ranch here locally or regionally?

Yeah, it's the family ranch.

My father's the second steward of it.

My grandfather bought it in the 40s.

Wow.

And now I'm... helping my 83 year old dad run the place

how nice so you obviously grew up here in in southern arizona what was what was what was your life like growing up here that kind of led you to music

I don't know what led me.

The girls led me to music.

I'm a third-generation Tucsonian, and my parents were married here in Tucson, but they got a divorce.

And so my mother went towards Tempe, Arizona, and she was a schoolteacher there.
