15-Year-Old Was Kidnapped. Everyone Knew… But No One Helped

Nicholas Samuel Markowitz was born on September 19, 1984, and he was born to parents Jeff and Susan.

Jeff and Susan had both been previously divorced when the two met.

Jeff had been previously married and had two children with his first wife.

This was a son named Ben and a daughter named Leah.

And Susan had not had any children yet in her life.

And the two met at a bar in the San Fernando Valley, which is very much like a meet-cute situation.

Because I guess it was screw night at the bar, which I heard that and I was like, clutching my pearls, excuse me.

Is it? But also...

Couldn't it be argued that every night at a local bar is screw night? But in particular, this night was called screw night because, like, every guy that came in was given, like, a screw and every girl that came in was given, like...

whatever you screw into, right? And the objective was for you to like walk around the bar and try to find the person who matched with your little screw situation so that you could kind of get out there, open up a dialogue, get comfortable.

You had a reason to go out and talk to one another.

So during this time, Susan and Jeff ended up coming together and wouldn't you guess it? Their screw and nut actually didn't fit at all, but they went up to each other to try to see.

They were like, oh, it doesn't fit.

It's too tight.

But hi, I'm Jeff.

Hi, I'm Susan.

And apparently as soon as they shook hands, there was like an electric shock between them.

So the two exchanged numbers.

They started dating.

They fell in love.

And within a year of meeting and being together, they found out that they were pregnant.

It was definitely a surprise, but it was a welcomed surprise because Susan like very much wanted to be a mother.

And on September 19th, 1984, Nicholas Markowitz was born.

And he was born almost a month after his due date.

Like his due date was like the end of August.
