In this episode we discuss how our Google account was hacked and they hijacked our YouTube Channels. This is a worse case scenario. We are currently posting on YouTube at…
Over the last few days, I had a company reach out to me that wanted to work with our channel and really debated whether I wanted to work with them or not.
But I felt like because it was a company I had personally used their service before and I thought could be useful for our subscribers, I ultimately... said let's do this we agreed on an arrangement last night and the guy was emailing with sent over uh the information for me it was a link to follow to set up our account and get all the details as far as talking points because a lot of times when you do these deals are talking points right so this morning i got up and thought we better get that done because we agreed that we would integrate them in a six second commercial into our september 27th youtube video which is only a week and a half away So I got signed in and I saw our dashboard where it would track the number of people clicking on the link.
And then it said, we just need to verify this is your YouTube channel.
And I wasn't thinking.
I mean, my first thought was, well, yeah, they got to verify it's me.
I understand.
That kind of made sense.
But I've been through so much training through Ivy Tech on phishing scams.
And so I did.
I signed into our YouTube account.
And it wasn't very long that...
We lost control of our YouTube account.
But here's the thing.
I've been trying.
There is no physical human to call.
I tried their online.
It's just like a circular thing where it just keeps saying, well, this is all we can do.
You need to do a recovery.
Well, you can't do a recovery when they've already changed your password and changed your pass keys and all of that.
Right.
It's all changed.
Yep.
