Traina Thoughts: Michael Wilbon

You mentioned the ratings.

Do you care about ratings today?

Never have.

Don't understand them.

This quarter hour, this age demo, I don't care.

I'm not a television person.

I'm a television viewer.

I'm not a television professional.

I'm a newspaper writer.

That's what I prepared my life to do was to write.

I don't care about I don't know what the viewership is.

I've said this a few times over the years.

I've written this a few times over the years.

I actually think the people who cover sports media myself, I put myself right at the top of this list.

I'm not calling anyone out.

I'm part of this.

And even people who just cover sports in general.

I think we've actually done a terrible job and have done a disservice in pointing out to fans about the ratings of part of the interruption in this day and age.

Because we spend so much time and energy and talk and written word on McAfee, Stephen A. Smith, even NFL Live, the games.

And I feel like people do not... mention again i'm putting myself there there should be way more talk of the part in the interruption ratings for a show that outrates all the shows i just mentioned it's hosted by two people as we talked about earlier who are not in their 30s and a show that's been on for 25 years it's a pretty unbelievable accomplishment to still be the number one daytime show on espn i think it's shocking uh in some ways in other ways maybe not but

i just don't pay attention

So you don't care if, you don't think, oh, why aren't we getting the publicity and the credit? You never go there.

No, I go there.

Okay.

I go there.
