112 - One Direction & Pop Culture

Well, I know what we wanted to talk about was something along the lines of like, pop culture, but specifically with One Direction.

I know that was such a big thing in the early 2000s-ish.

2010s.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Were you guys massive One Direction

fans?

I think me a bit more in the closet to begin with.

Just because it was big enough telling people I was a male Taylor Swift fan.

I thought being a One Direction fan as well, the bullying would be too much.

Right.

But definitely once I left high school, yes.

When in 2015 was my first year of tertiary education.

Also being the year that Zayn Malik left the band.

And one of my lecturers was like, hey man, have the day off.

I can see it's a big day for you.

You're going through a lot right now.

Yeah.

You need a break.

Come on.

Frequently.

Exactly.

You need a break.

So I took that and ran with

it.

Good.
