Welcome back to the weekend break right here on 2QN and joining us as they do every single Saturday is Jack Bond and also Ashley Hall from the Edward River Council.

How are you, mate?

I am doing very well.

Now, there's been plenty of things happening around the council region.

Can you tell me what's been going on with Ramjo?

Yeah, Ramjo is our group of councillors that we meet about four or five times a year.

So this meeting was basically being held in Denelec on Thursday and Friday.

So we had a group of mayors and CEOs come over on Thursday evening and we took them on a river cruise and had a dinner that night.

It was a fantastic event, showcased the magnificent Edward River, which none of them had been on the river before.

And so they were really gobsmacked with how beautiful it was.

And I think we'll get a lot of return clientele out of that.

So it was a great opportunity.

I'd just like to thank our staff, Chloe and Jane, who coordinated most of the stuff for the night.

And the dinner at the crossing was great.

Then we had our meeting at the depot on Friday, which basically...

Yeah, discussing a lot of issues around our regional kind of strategies moving forward.

But, yeah, it's a great vehicle in terms of our advocacy, getting into state government and so on.

And there was a motion moved basically supporting our area, particularly around the sunrise jobs.

So in general kind of terms, it was basically...

Ramjo have put a motion forward to get a commitment out of the Commonwealth Government through the substantial job losses we've had here to match the funding that Leighton received of $14.5 million.

So in general terms, that's the motion being put forward by Ramjo.
