Now we wanted to touch on the tree planting scheme, which is wrapping up soon for people to get their names in.
How's it all going? Got a lot of interest?
So yeah, great opportunity for rural landholders to establish their native vegetation.
The cost is only $1.65 per seedling and they can choose from 55 indigenous and native species.
a lot.
Yeah, so it really just gives that opportunity for their biodiversity and shelter and the long-term landscape of their farms and so on.
So you can get onto the council's website under the rural trees and pick your seedlings and they'll be ready for collection in May of 2027.
Yeah, it's terrifying.
Everything's going so quickly.
But yes, get those orders in ASAP so you don't miss out.
And one thing to end on as well, this is really exciting.
So next week you've locked in a meeting with the Water Minister.
Yeah, look, New South Wales Water Minister, just to clarify that, not Murray Watt.
But in terms of where we are as a rural community, it's the critical time for basically the opportunities for farmers to start thinking about their rice fields and plantations and if they're going to get into that space, they're growing rice this year.
So we've been basically told that from the next two weeks to three weeks is the critical planning period.
So I took the opportunity to meet with Rose Jackson, the Minister of New South Wales Water, a fortnight ago at Country Mares and just basically reiterated our worry about the rice mill redundancies and she knew full hand of that issue.
and said she was working on some opportunity for maybe some further allocations of water, which would be fantastic.
I think there is some supplementary flows going through now, which basically people can use water now and not use that allocation.
All right.
