In this episode of The Website Growth Show, Rana Shahbaz speaks with Chris LaFay, founder of Classic City Consulting, about how businesses can use website optimization to create websites that are…
The website is your home base, and, uh, there are so many ways you can help businesses, you know, improve and grow their business.
Over the years, especially with AI, uh, g- getting, you know, traffic or leads through your website is getting difficult.
So what is your favorite way of helping business pick up a website and help businesses grow?
So like we all in general at this point in time, because AI and things like that are changing at the speeds, so by the time this recording drops, things are probably changed again.
But in general, traffic, direct traffic of users is dropping, but their intent once they get there is a lot higher.
And so the question then becomes, how do you make that good first impression? People are going and doing all of their quantitative research, for lack of better terms, using AI and things along those lines, which is all fantastic.
But then when they come to your site, they wanna know that you are the best in the business at X, and how do you do that? And there's, there's a lot of variables that are at play there.
So like if you actually look at the Classic City site right now, my own company looks like a video game.
There's little exclamation boxes that you can like click multiple times over and punch it, and they break, and things fly across the screen and do weird stuff.
Is it the best user experience in terms of minimizing the number of clicks? No, [laughs] not at all.
But what I found, at least in my line of business and where I'm trying to angle myself, is that the, the industry that I'm in is very commoditized, and one of those differentiating factors is the wow factor when you pull up somebody's website.
