Today we’re joined by Justin Anderson, a native Floridian whose outdoor roots started with deer hunting, hog hunting, and freshwater fishing before he eventually found his way into saltwater sight…
So let's talk about, um, the, uh, Historic Coast Outfitters.
Um, it, it is, man, it sounds like a blast, uh, no pun intended, in the sense of, like, you can be trolling for, you know, trying to find redfish and h- hook up on a redfish and then shoot a rail, like, within a two or three-minute span.
I mean, is that, is that like-
... an accurate assessment of, like, what the day kinda looks like for you guys when you go out on the skiff and do that?
What's cool about here, St. Augustine and Jacksonville are, you know, big cities.
But the minute you get on the skiff and push off out into the marsh- You leave all that behind and you literally some days-
Have to place yourself, yeah
Um, so we do get that, you know, where you get away from it, but you're looking at this v- you know, massive creek system, big, like I said, big tall Spartina grass islands, um, feeder creeks going everywhere, and it really is beautiful.
I mean, pine trees and oaks and palmetto flats off in the distance surrounding it.
Yeah.
Love that.
With the outfitter, the goal was basically to show people a little bit of everything.
Interesting
... part of me, I, I went through the period of being the, the negative guy that was mad everyone else was doing it back in my hog hunting days, and that everyone, it was getting popular and, you know, that angle, and I quickly realized they're gonna do it whether you love it or not.
