You tested 20 or 20 plus air fryer toaster ovens and you said they all struggled with making toasts.

Is the toaster oven sort of like the futon of the kitchen appliance world where it's like it can kind of be a couch and a bed, but neither one's like super great.

And if you need it because you need something to do two things, it's OK. What's your opinion on toaster ovens?

It's especially not a toaster oven air fryer.

This is my hot take.

If you at all have the room for multiple appliances, they will serve you better.

Toaster ovens just really, as I mentioned in the review, they struggle with toast because it takes so long to heat up in a way that like actually encourages browning.

Like all actual ovens, they also have hot spots.

So your toast is very rarely going to be evenly cooked.

Um, They also now so many toasters ovens are also air fryers and they struggle with that too because of fan placement.

And they're just so bad at like everything.

So I would say my dream appliance lineup in that genre would be.

A very simple toaster with high wattage.

The higher the wattage, the faster it will cook the toast.

It essentially sears the outside of the bread while keeping the inside of the bread really soft and squishy.

If your toaster is too low wattage, it's going to dry out the bread.

So high wattage toaster.
